This section provides context and methodology details for the data presented:

  • **Data Scope:** This table focuses exclusively on competitive results where a Male athlete has participated in both men's and women's events in the same sport. This table lists the results of these male athletes from their time competing in the men's division and their results from the women's division.
  • **Link Verification:** The provided links are to external sources. These sources include official results directly from the event webpages, sites that aggregrate athletic results from various organizations (such as MileSplit.com), news stories, and social media posts from team and athlete accounts. Archived links (Ar.) are provided in the case that these results are removed or websites are no longer functional. Not all pages were able to be archived. When possible, archived links can most often be found in the second (2) link.
  • **Athlete Verification:** Athletes have been verified as male through the use of public sources: news articles, personal declarations from the athletes, name changes, past photos, and other public records including job history, school records, and family records. For these athletes, change of "gender" is obvious due to their previous participation on men's and boys' teams.
  • **Sorting:** The table is sorted by **Date (newest first)** by default.

Other Notes:

  • DNS, DQ, 1st (of 1), and relay events have been removed. Only individual event results from individual sports such as swimming and track and field will be represented here so other factors, such as contributions from other teammates, can be ruled out.
  • Only male athletes who have been understood to be male since birth but "identify" as women and girls are represented here ("trans"-identified). Male athletes with DSDs and males who recognize themselves as men and boys are not.
  • At the high school level, not all states require the use of hormone intervention to block testosterone, but rely on self-ID. Thus, it is not known whether or not athletes at the high school level have blocked testosterone.
  • Male athletes at the collegiate level are required to undergo hormone therapy in order to compete in the women's division. All male athletes listed at the collegiate level here have met the NCAA's standards to compete in the women's. Many athletic bodies have claimed zero advantage should exist after these standards have being met.
  • All high school results are in the varsity category unless specified otherwise.
  • Distance events have been rounded to the nearest .5 of a kilometer or mile (for example, 2.87 miles would be labeled as a 3 mile race in the event column).
  • In events with more than 50 participants, if in the top 30 percentile or better, places are sorted by increments of 5 instead of "Other".
  • Although Cory "Evelyn" Parts is listed in the JV category for several races, his times were beating the entire varsity division as well. He was also entered as a non-scoring participant at several meets, but his placement (if he had not been NS) will be marked here to show his performance compared to his female competitors.
